- Read the outline column for a hollow ring: walls, towers and pond edges.
- Read the filled column for a solid disc: floors, roofs and platforms.

Frequently asked questions
How many blocks do I need for a 30x30 circle in Minecraft?
A 30x30 circle takes 84 blocks for the outline and 716 blocks for a filled disc, which is 11 stacks and 12 blocks. Every number in this chart is calculated by the same engine that draws the circles, so it matches what you place in game.
Why do some sizes need the same number of blocks for the outline?
Rounding. A 30x30 and a 31x31 outline both come out at 84 blocks because the extra half block per side does not always add a new block to the ring. The filled counts still differ, because the disc grows with area rather than perimeter.
Should I use an odd or an even diameter?
Odd diameters have a single centre block, which makes it easy to line a circle up with a tower, a fountain or a nether portal. Even diameters have a 2x2 centre instead, and are handy when you are matching an existing wall that is an even number of blocks wide.
What is the difference between outline and filled?
Outline is the hollow ring you build for walls, towers and rims. Filled is the solid disc you build for floors, ceilings and platforms. A 51x51 circle is 144 blocks as an outline but 2,053 blocks filled, so the difference matters when you are gathering materials.
Does this work for spheres and domes too?
No. These counts are for flat circles. A sphere is built from a stack of circles of different sizes, so its total is much higher than any single row here. Use the sphere and dome generator for those, which works out each layer for you.
Is the chart free to use?
Yes, and there is nothing to install or sign up for. The whole table is generated when the page is built, so it loads as plain text and works offline once you have opened it.
