How it works

How do I turn an image into Minecraft pixel art?
Upload or paste any image, choose how wide the build should be in blocks, and the generator instantly maps every pixel to the closest matching block color. You get a live preview, a material list and a row-by-row guide to rebuild it in the game.
Which blocks does the generator use?
The palette covers the 16 wool colors, 16 concrete colors, 16 terracotta colors and a set of common blocks like stone, planks, sand, netherrack and mineral blocks. Use the checkboxes to build with only the palettes you have — the preview updates instantly.
How many blocks will my build need?
The material list counts every block in the design and groups the totals in stacks of 64, so you know exactly what to gather before you start. A 64×64 design can use up to 4,096 blocks, so start small in survival mode.
How do I build the result in the game?
Open the build guide: pick a row and the tool highlights it in the preview and lists the exact block sequence from left to right, like "3 × White Wool, 2 × Black Concrete". Row 1 is the bottom row, so you build from the ground up.
Should I use dithering for block art?
Dithering mixes two block colors in a pattern to fake in-between shades. It can look great from a distance but noisy up close. Try Floyd–Steinberg for photos and portraits, and keep it off for logos and flat-color art.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The generator runs entirely in your browser using the canvas API. Your image never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded, stored or shared.
