Frequently asked questions
How do I split a sprite sheet into individual images?
Upload the sheet, tell the tool the grid — say 4 columns and 2 rows — or the exact tile size like 32×32 pixels, and it cuts the sheet instantly. Download everything as a ZIP of numbered PNGs.
What if I don't know the tile size?
Check the sheet's dimensions and divide by the number of visible columns and rows — a 128×64 sheet with 4 columns and 2 rows uses 32×32 tiles. The live preview makes it easy to spot when the grid lines up.
What does "skip empty frames" do?
Sheets often have blank cells at the end of the last row. When the option is on, fully transparent frames are left out of the ZIP so your animation doesn't end with empty images.
What formats can I upload and export?
You can upload PNG, WebP, GIF or JPEG sheets up to 4096×4096 pixels. Frames are always exported as PNG to preserve transparency, at their exact original pixel size.
Is my sprite sheet uploaded to a server?
